Terms of service

Hosted stations. We run a SUB/WAVE station for you: the streaming stack, the AI DJ (language model and speech), a subdomain, software updates, and nightly backups of your station's configuration. By default your station reads music from a Navidrome server you operate; we hold only the credentials needed to reach it. If you turn on managed music, we additionally run a private Navidrome and an upload box for your station, and the files you upload are stored on our servers for that purpose only.

DJ Brain. A metered allowance of language-model and, on the voice tier, text-to-speech usage, delivered to your own self-hosted station through an API key. We host no part of that station and no music.

A hosted station is a continuous, linear stream at an unlisted address. New stations are locked with a listener password, and you choose who to share it with. The service is designed for personal, private listening — you, your household, and invited friends — and enforces a technical limit on simultaneous listeners. It is not a public broadcasting service and we do not grant, and cannot grant, any performance, broadcast or communication-to-the-public licence. You are solely responsible for holding whatever rights your use of your music requires in your jurisdiction, and for not sharing the address or password more widely than those rights allow. Removing that lock, publishing the listen link or password, embedding the stream on a public site, or reselling it ends the private posture these terms rely on and is a breach.

Whether your music stays on your own Navidrome or is uploaded to managed music, it is yours: you warrant that you lawfully obtained every file and that storing and playing it to yourself is within your rights. Managed music is a private locker reachable only by your station and your own account; we do not source, index, share, recommend or supply music, and nobody else can play from your library. We use uploaded files only to serve them to your station. They are not backed up, so keep your own copy.

Each subscription includes a monthly allowance of AI usage (DJ writing and speech). When it runs out, music keeps playing and the DJ goes quiet until the next month, unless you have opted into usage-based overage, in which case the excess is billed at the rate shown when you opt in. A DJ Brain key may only be used by a SUB/WAVE station; using it as a general-purpose API is not allowed, and we may revoke keys that are.

Subscriptions are billed monthly by Stripe, with a 7-day free trial (card required, charged automatically when the trial ends unless you cancel). Hosted stations come in two tiers — Standard (£14) and Premium (£19) — differing in the DJ's voice and voice allowance; DJ Brain comes as Brain (£5) and Brain + Cloud Voice (£10). You can switch tiers any time, prorated by Stripe. Prices include VAT where it applies. Cancel any time from the billing page: a station stays up until the end of the paid period, is then suspended, and its configuration and any managed music are kept for 30 days before deletion; a DJ Brain key stops working at the end of the paid period. If you believe a station on this service infringes your rights, email [email protected] with the station address, the work concerned, your contact details and a statement that you hold or represent the rights. We will acknowledge within two working days, suspend the station or the material while we look, and inform the operator, who may respond. An account that receives repeated credible notices, or that publishes its stream in breach of section 2, is terminated. We keep a record of notices received and actions taken.

• No unlawful content or use, including infringing broadcasts.
• No attempts to break, probe, or overload the platform or other stations.
• No public redistribution, embedding, or resale of a hosted stream.
• No use of a DJ Brain key outside a SUB/WAVE station.

Your station's configuration lives on our servers and is backed up nightly; uploaded music is not. Your Navidrome credentials are stored so your station can reach your music, and are used for nothing else. Usage of the AI budget is metered per key so we can enforce the allowance and bill overage. This is a small, honest service run by one person, not a bank: we aim for high availability and apply updates carefully (our own station first), but we do not offer a formal SLA. Support is by email and we reply within two working days. We may change plans or prices with at least 30 days' notice; changes never apply retroactively to a paid period.

The service is provided “as is”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim, and we are not liable for claims arising from your music, your stream, or your use of them. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, and nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
